  Bekenntnis zum Motorrad-sport!
Hannover, im Herbst 2006 – erstmals seit vielen, vielen Jahren wird sich Continental Motorrad werksseitig im nationalen und internationalen Motorradsport engagieren und damit an die großen Erfolge der Hannoveraner Reifenbauer in der Vergangenheit anknüpfen.
Continental wird mit einem eigenen Team in der Int. Deutschen Motorradmeisterschaft (IDM) an den Start gehen.
  Und zwar mit den beiden Piloten Dirk Schnieders, vierfacher Deutscher Meister im Seriensport sowie im Rundstreckenpokal, und dem erst 16jährigen Mike Minnerop, 2003 Zweiter im RedBullRookiesCup und in noch früheren Jahren ebenfalls vierfacher Deutscher Meister bei den PocketBikes. Gefahren wird in der Klasse IDM Supersport, deren Regelwerk aktuell überarbeitet worden ist. Die beiden Yamaha R6 des Teams werden betreut vom Betzdorfer YamahaTuner Diego Romero.
