Eine in Deutschland einzig-artige „Erfolgsstory“ setzt sich immer weiter durch. Jetzt verstärken viele Hilfsorganisationen ihre Hilfe und das soziale Engagement für krebskranke Kinder. „Biker, auf zur Sternfahrt zu Gunsten krebskranker Kinder. Das Herz am rechten Fleck - Biker fahren für krebskranke Kinder“, so lautet das Motto der ersten Sternfahrt der Feuerwehr-Biker und Freunde, zu der der Landesfeuerwehrverband Schleswig-Holstein, der Kreisfeuerwehrverband Pinneberg und die Freiwillige Feuerwehr Appen aufrufen. Aufgrund des zu erwartenden großen Andrangs werden die Appener unterstützt von weiteren Feuerwehren des Kreises, wie z.B. aus Pinneberg, Moorrege, Borstel-Hohen-raden, Rellingen und Prisdorf. Erstmals wird für eine derartige Veranstaltung auch die Hauptstraße in Appen für den Zeitraum der Veranstaltung teilweise gesperrt.
Am Sonntag, dem 07. August, ab 10:00 Uhr werden „rund um das Bürgerhaus“, Hauptstraße 79, in Appen über 2.000 Biker aus Schleswig-Holstein, Niedersachsen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern und sogar Dänemark erwartet. Die gleiche Anzahl erwarten die Veranstalter noch als Fußgänger, Radfahrer oder Autofahrer. Für den Veranstaltungszeitraum sollten Autofahrer den Ort Appen weiträumig umfahren.
Die so genannte „Teilnahmespende“ von nur zehn Euro pro Person geht zu 100 Prozent an die größte, ehrenamtliche Benefizveranstaltung „Appen musiziert“ zu Gunsten krebskranker Kinder. Verschiedene Institutionen, die krebs- und andere schwerstkranke Kinder betreuen, erhalten die Spenden. „Appen musiziert“ hilft an Krebs erkrankten Kindern aus den Bundesländern Niedersachsen, Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg und Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
„Die Mitglieder der Feuerwehren kommen aus allen Berufsbereichen und bilden so einen Querschnitt unserer Gesellschaft. Ich freue mich, wenn Feuerwehrmitglieder sich über ihren ehrenamtlichen Einsatz in der Feuerwehr hinaus mit ihrem weiteren Hobby, dem Motorrad fahren, zusätzlich für eine gute Sache einsetzen“, sagte Landesbrandmeister Uwe Eisenschmidt, Vorsitzender des Landesfeuerwehrverbandes Schleswig-Holstein.
„Mit der Erfolgsstory „Appen musiziert“ engagieren sich der Spielmannszug und die Mitglieder der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr Appen sowie zahlreiche Freunde, Sponsoren und Künstler seit 16 Jahren zum Wohle der kranken Kinder“, sagt Rolf Heidenberger, Motor und Organisator von „Appen musiziert“. Am 30. Oktober findet die 20. Veranstaltung in der Distelkamphalle statt.
„Ein erstes privates Treffen der Feuerwehr-Biker im Jahr 2004 in Gönnebek, Kreis Segeberg, fand derartig großen Anklang, so dass wir in diesem Jahr „Nägel mit Köpfen“ gemacht haben und zu einer Sternfahrt aufrufen“, sagt Mitorganisator Werner Stöwer vom Landesfeuerwehrverband in Kiel.
Zur Sternfahrt eingeladen sind alle Biker und deren Freunde, von der Polizei, aus anderen Vereinen, Verbänden, Firmen, Hilfe-leistungsorganisationen, Bundeswehr oder DRK. Jeder, selbstverständlich auch Privatbiker, sind in Appen herzlich willkommen. Wir würden uns über viele Interessierte, auch „Nichtbiker“ sehr freuen, weisen aber auf große Parkplatzprobleme in unmittelbarer Nähe hin.
Wie immer bei Appen musiziert, werden auch prominente Persönlich-keiten nicht fehlen. So werden neben Wolfgang Kubicki (FDP) u.a. auch der Tagesschau-Chefsprecher Jan Hofer aktiv teilnehmen. Weitere Persönlichkeiten entscheiden sich kurzfristig.
PROGRAMM: Die Motorrad fahrenden Frauen und Männer erwartet, neben dem Motorrad fachlichen Gedankenaustausch, ein großer Motorrad-Gottesdienst (12 Uhr) unter der Leitung des Appener Pastors Frank Schüler. Unterstützt wird er von Pastor Klaus Täger der Hilfsorganisation Bikers Helpline. Der internationale Gideonbund wird an die Biker 1.500 Bibeln im Taschenformat kostenlos verteilen.
Verschiedene Stände sorgen für die nötigen Informationen zum Thema Motorrad: "Motorrad Ruser" mit Yamaha, Triumph & KTM, "Harley-Davidson Hamburg Nord" mit Harley-Davidson & Buell, „Bikers-Helpline“, "Kockis Air Brush Garage", "Itzehoer Versicherungen", "MEHRSi - Sicherheit für Biker e.V." (?), "Motorradlogistik" , "MC Proud Indians" uvm.
In einer großen Verlosungsaktion gibt es wertvolle Preise zu gewinnen. Cheerleader der Elmshorner "American Footballer" werden in Appen für ihre eigene Großveranstaltung am 14. August werben, die ebenfalls zu Gunsten von Appen musiziert durchgeführt wird.
