 ADAC befürwortet Vorschrift auch in Deutschland.
Nach Italien, Spanien, Portugal und Österreich führt jetzt auch Kroatien mit die Warnwestenpflicht ein. Ab 1. Januar 2006 sind alle Autoinsassen verpflichtet, eine Weste anzulegen, wenn sie ihren Wagen nach einem Unfall, einer Panne oder zum Nachfüllen von Sprit auf Landstraßen oder Autobahnen verlassen. Wer diese Vorschrift nicht befolgt, muss in Kroatien zunächst nicht mit einer Geldbuße rechnen. Ob und wann Warnwesten-Muffel hier belangt werden, steht derzeit noch nicht fest.
Da man mit der reflektierenden Sicherheitskleidung wesentlich besser gesehen wird, befürwortet der ADAC eine Einführung der Warnwestenpflicht auch in Deutschland für alle Fahrzeuginsassen.
Wer bereits eine Warnweste besitzt, kann diese auch in Kroatien verwenden. Die mit dem Kontrollzeichen EN471 versehenen Westen in den Farben gelb, orange oder rot sind im Kfz-Zubehörhandel und in den ADAC-Geschäftsstellen erhältlich
